Ouray is the perfect mountain town. I thought I would have more time to take photos this trip, as we usually go for the ice festival, but even on our own, ice climbing takes up a lot of time, especially with perfect weather and the ability to walk from your hotel to the ice. I was able to snap a few photos on our way in and out (after a storm blew in).
We initially set out to do a quick hike today and then go climbing, since it has been so warm, but as we started to hike the Lake Blanche trail in Big Cottonwood Canyon, we quickly decided to see how the snow was doing all the way up to Sundial. This is my favorite hike in the Wasatch, and it is equally beautiful in every season.
